What is the difference between a Level 1 and Level 2 charger?
A Level 1 charger plugs into a standard 120V outlet and adds about 2 to 5 miles of range per hour. A Level 2 charger uses a 240V circuit, similar to a dryer, and adds roughly 15 to 40 miles per hour.
Do I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?
Not always. A Level 2 charger needs a dedicated 240V circuit and enough panel capacity. We check your panel during the quote and tell you whether an upgrade is needed.
Where should my EV charger go?
Close to where you park and, ideally, near your electrical panel to keep the circuit run short and the cost down. Outdoor locations need a weatherproof charger.
